Innocent eyes

Innocents
You are the few
Unto Light you usher forth
Never cease in matters True
Faith reveal your own true north

Temperance guides
The ones of Light
Follow faithful through the haze
Moving from your Higher Sight
Gently shine love through your gaze

Day by day
The numbers grow
Yielding hope and strength and love
Deeply sensing ones who Know
Reaching out with Those Above

We are with you
Child of Light
Guiding steady each new day
Fear no struggle in your plight
Held by Love We Light your Way

Prayer for remembrance

By Karen Scott Leave a Comment

Dear God,

Today I call upon Your Name
and on my own.

Knowing that calling upon Your Name
is calling on my own.

As I repeat Your Name, I invite angels
to surround the ground on which I stand.

To sing to me as they spread out
their wings, to keep me safe and
shelter me from every wordly thought
that would intrude on my holiness.

As I repeat Your Name
please remind me of who I AM,
and by doing so acknowledge Who You are;
sole Creator of reality.

Let Your Name become the
all-encompassing idea that
holds my mind completely.

Through remembrance of You,
may I achieve a state in which
I experience the gift of grace.

As I repeat Your Name please render
all little names meaningless,
all little things silent,
and little sounds soundless,
so that little things of the earth
disappear.

With only Your Name remaining,
may I walk fully immersed
in thoughts of You today.

Thank You
Amen.

Let your beauty shine

Speak of Love ethereal
Light, and soul divine

Whisp and float serenely
Lighter than the air

Messenger from heaven
Precious, sweet and fair

Divine Companion

My heart will speak to all who hear
The whispers of the Spirit near
To tread the path of heart and love
The path of wisdom from the Dove

Each one keeps in their possession
Love which finds its true expression
In the union formed between
Those in flesh and Those Unseen

Anointing of the bells

By Karen Scott Leave a Comment

Image of rays on water

Image: fdecomite

Teardrops falling from my eyes
Touch my precious face
Even in the morningtide
Hopes all feel erased

Grip my heart with fear and dread
Grief will have its way
Tears, more tears and then some more
Seize another day

Evening comes and I’m alone
My heart still full of pain
I lay awake and cry some more
Filled with deepest shame

Alone I am not strong enough
To hold on to the Light
Within the depths of my despair
Where tests of faith ignite

The passion deep within us
To wrestle to the ground
The fear of not returning to
Where joy and smiles are found

I reach up to the heavens
I plead and I implore
The Deities who serve the One
Who never would ignore

I wait in hope and then again
My doubt begins play
On weaknesses still held within
On yet another day

But then … in moments brief and few
A chime it starts to ring
Like bells which sound the Angelus
For Mother of the King

I catch it just before it fades
And feel it shape and mould
The deepest wounded part of me
Which I no longer scold

The Light it grows now day by day
And glitters like the sun
To shine and brightly send its rays
To each and everyone

Who may be held in chains so tight
Which never will release
Their fragile spirit from the bonds
Of darkness, pain and grief

So watch the spark when first it comes
To bid you warm ‘Hello’
And hold it gently in your mind
So you can watch it grow

Till it exceeds all desperate fears
And hopes which have been lost
And raises up within its Light
The blessed Holy Ghost

Consult your heart before choosing a psychic

By Karen Scott Leave a Comment

Image of a white roseIt’s easy for people to make the assumption that psychic awareness and spirituality are the same thing.

On many occasions I’ve heard people discuss readings they have sought and received, automatically presuming them to be spiritual in nature.

But there is a world of difference between psychic awareness — the ability to perceive impressions — and the universal truths pursued in committed spiritual practices.

And whilst the two aren’t mutually exclusive, they don’t necessarily go hand in hand.

The use of readings to obtain information regarding our path can be enlightening, emotionally relieving — even healing.

But to confuse this with the important motivation of the pursuit of truth, wisdom and love within a spiritual practice, would be misguided.

Although it is a natural graduation from spiritual dedication and practice to psychic awakening, without a strong spiritual foundation, psychic abilities can be misused.

A pure intent and an elevated quality of thoughts and energy are desirable when consulting a psychic medium for a reading. These qualities lend a level of purity to the experience and ensure the appropriateness of the information which is brought through by the medium. Continue reading

Invite the Angels into your life

By Karen Scott 6 Comments

Image of a bridge in JapanOver the years I’ve practised as a therapist, I’ve been filled with many moments of grace.

The Angels — who I actively invoke every day, and who’s guidance I request with every encounter — have repeatedly given me visions and insights for those I’m assisting, as well as enlightened me about what’s taking place as I engage people.

I’ve been guided to particular books in related fields where the message contained is consistent with what I’ve been shown by the Angels in my own work.

I’ve had the experience where I’ll begin to use some new technique, totally intuitively, only to discover it belongs to a whole modality of its own.

It’s not uncommon for me, before I embark on any new form of study or practice, to start to see, think or feel new experiences that support or reflect fully the new material.

In this way, grace is active in guiding me — without any fear on my part — to every new experience and encounter in my life and in my work.

The Angels ensure that, if I’m doubting something, they provide me with confirmations — which take various forms — to reassure me and encourage me in that direction.

It never ceases to surprise and amaze me. And, even after all these years, I still feel the excitement of a child when the Angels make their presence known to me.

And you can experience the Angels, too.

Through meditation, invocation and surrender, you can cross the bridge, which leads from this world into Spirit. Continue reading

Presently I come

Presently
I come to thee
And hold thee
In My Palm

In all the world
I see a child
With courage, faith
And charm

She holds a feeling
Dearly close
For all to know
My Word

It is the morning
Of the time
When all shall hear
My Bird

Readily
I hasten forth
And touch each heart
Anew

To bring the children
Of the world
A light of
Brightest hue

The Holy Spirit’s
Message
For all who have the
Ear

Is Love and Peace
And Harmony
To overcome all
Fear

So be together
All in love
Is what the Bird
Doth say

And with this feeling
Held with hope
All hearts shall find
Their way

The healing power of confession, and of hearing others confess

By Karen Scott Leave a Comment

Image of a butterflyConfession, now known as the Rite of Reconciliation, is a Catholic sacrament in which we share our transgressions with a priest.

According to church law, the priest has the power to absolve the sins of anyone who confesses to him.

Many non-Catholics don’t understand why we should confess. Why we should bear our souls to a perfect stranger, or worse still, to a parish priest who has known us since infancy.

Yet, through my work, I’ve come to understand the incredible healing power of confession. Continue reading

Truth’s promise

By Karen Scott Leave a Comment

Image of a golden compass

Image: geebee2007

Everyday I wait in faith
The Truth alive I see
And everything I come to know
As Truth it comes from Thee

All the Angels lay in wait
To call all children near
So that time might be erased
And lessons become clear

Every mind that hears the call
Ready soon will be
And every heart awake in Truth
Will fly to heaven free

All time and space will disappear
As Truth and Love stand strong
Reality will rule the hearts
Of all before too long

God’s time on earth approaches now
The Angels forge the way
The Holy Spirit whispers
To God’s children each new day

So ready is God’s Kingdom
To Light the world again
With all the goodness lost to us
All sorrow at an end

Each child alone will make a choice
For God or wordly dreams
This is the Free Will talked about
In all of history’s reams

As we move towards the time
Of Love and Light and Truth
We make our vigil nourished with
The wholesomeness of youth

Innocence and blessedness
And Peace and Joy and Love
And blessings are the treasures
Given from all Those above

Awakening — the Angels make their presence felt

By Karen Scott Leave a Comment

Image of a doveAt the time in my life when my faith was being tested, I prayed.

My life was filled with prayer from a very early age.

My mother’s example of praying while she worked (I think the only time she isn’t praying is when she’s speaking — and she does a lot of that too!), had been instilled in me. I attended Mass on Sundays and followed all the devotions of Catholicism.

But during this period of my life, the practices of Catholicism weren’t addressing any of the deeper questions I was being faced with.  I spoke to priests, nuns, friends and family, but no one could tell me what I needed to hear, as Catholic dogma seemed so embedded in their responses. Prayer for joy

Image: Linh Ngan

Dear Lord,

May I learn my lessons
through joy today.
As I understand that the
experience of joy,
is the experience of You.
Remind me Lord, that lessons
need not be difficult,
and that learning can occur
happily and effortlessly,
With the help of the Holy Spirit.
May I enter into the knowing,
that as I choose joy,
I choose and honour You.
I give thanks for the awareness of You,
in my life today and always.

Thank You,
Amen.

A mother’s gift of grace

By Karen Scott Leave a Comment

Image of hands offering a giftMy mother worries about many things.

And she possesses deep faith in God.

It’s an odd dichotomy.

Her concerns are driven by her deep need to keep safe those she loves. In fact, it’s her primary motivation in life.

Her need to keep us safe from the dangers of this troubling world, are often met with our shared frustration.

But in this net of protection she casts across our family, amid her fears of us falling prey to some awful fate, is the thread of grace connecting us all safely through her love and prayers. Continue reading

Prayer to the Holy Mother

Silver Light
Attending Angel: Archangel Gabriel

Dearest Holy Mother,

Please help me to remember that You are my Mother.
Help me to remember that I am not alone.
Shower upon me Your loving Light,
and comfort me with Your merciful heart.
Teach me compassion for myself and all living things.
Teach me strength for myself and all living things.
Teach me respect for myself and all living things,
so that I can live in happiness and peace.
Please loving Mother, reach Your tender hand
down into my life today and make right
all that seems wrong.
Touch my mind with Your truth and wisdom so that
I can see these errors and correct them.
Walk with me today, please, and guide me on the
Path to Truth.
Loving Mother,
I entrust myself to Your care.
Thank You,
Amen.

Prayer for every day

By Karen Scott Leave a Comment

Image of leaf on water

Image: Michael Whyte

Dear God,

May I find the courage
to open my heart truly,
to love fully,
and to give freely.
Help me to let go the need
to understand everything
as it is happening.
So I can open my mind to receive
Your Wisdom.
Please show me what You want me to see,
and take me where You want me to go.
Let me always know what to say,
and who to say it to.
For my highest good
and the highest good
of all concerned.

Amen.

Are you operating on grace’s wavelength?

By Karen Scott 2 Comments

Image of a busy streetGrace is something which, to my mind, seems to be rapidly disappearing from our experience in life.

People seem to be sensing its loss but don’t really seem to know what it is they’re losing.

As a species, we have spent so much time trying to achieve something … anything … everything, that we have apparently lost as a result, moments of grace in our lives.

Maybe grace never leaves.

Maybe it’s always occurring without our knowledge and it’s our responsibility to look for its presence.

But the fact we have to look for it, that we simply don’t feel it, suggests our lives are operating on a frequency that’s not on the wavelength of grace. Continue reading

Atheist or believer, it’s still a matter of faith

By Karen Scott Leave a Comment

Image of Virtruvian ManI always watch with fascination when a panel or interviewer brings together an atheist and a believer.

Usually, they’re very well educated, and it always ends up being a competition rather than a sharing of different beliefs.

Of course, I’m always hoping the chosen representative of my team, The Believers, will say the things I’m thinking and win a point for our side.

But what usually follows is a steady and consistent thrashing as The Atheists pull their punches and win the day.

Their arguments often include, ‘God is for the weak minded who don’t like to face reality’, and ‘where’s the proof?’

I’m not sure if it’s my bias or a truly honest observation, but it seems to me that The Atheist becomes increasingly aggressive whilst The Believer, often a cleric, withdraws. Continue reading

Prayer for moving forward

Image of walking on a beach

Dear God,

I am afraid of what my future holds.
The unsureness of what the changes
in my life are bringing,
sometimes fills me with doubt and fear.
There are so many things that have become
confused in my mind,
as I have turned my back on my true nature,
and run from You.
Please dear Lord,
let me not fall into the arrogance of thinking,
I am above any experience that has been brought into my life.
Instead, please give me the understanding
of what it is I am meant to learn,
and the faith to know,
all things are exactly as they are meant to be.
Help me to see each child as my teacher,
and to remember that Your love
is present in each one.
Please help me to strengthen my resolve
to walk the path of my heart;
And in doing so,
Meet all of the responsibilities
that belong to me.
Please Lord,

Amen.

God versus The Universe

By Karen Scott 2 Comments

Image of star HD 820Over the years, I’ve found that I’ve had an uneasiness about use of the term ‘The Universe’.

Many people uncomfortable with the word ‘God’ seem to use the ‘The Universe’ as if the two were interchangeable.

I didn’t know what caused my uneasiness, but it was there whenever I heard this expression.

Conversely, I found that many, many people objected to, or were even offended by, the word ‘God’. So many people have negative associations with this word, largely owing to unpleasant and even sometimes detrimental experiences with religion, its teachings, or its clerics.

However, none of this explained my aversion to the ubiquitous new-age term ‘The Universe’. Continue reading

Prayer for reliving the past

By Karen Scott Leave a Comment

Image of a droplets on a web

Image: Jenny Downing

Dear God,

I am afraid of reliving my past.
Please help me to remember,
that I have grown and changed.
I have had many wonderful experiences
in my life,
that have shown me a glimpse
of my true Self.
There is a part of me,
I have found,
that is strong and at peace.
Which gives love freely,
and sees the good in all things.
Please dear Lord,
help me to remember.
Show me what I have to do to remember You,
in everyone and everything.

Thank You
Amen.
